As soon as you have set a date, you
should enquire about availability for your
make-up. Most brides book well in advance,
as much as a year before. Please contact
me as soon as possible to find out if I am
available for your Wedding Day.
How can I be sure you are booked for my Wedding Day?
A deposit is required to secure your Wedding Day and this guarantees the date is held for you. The deposit is 50% of the services that are required on your Wedding Day. Once I have confirmed the date is available, I will send you a booking form which gives you details of how to send the deposit.
Can Beautify style my hair?
Beautify specialise in professional make up application. Many brides use their regular hairdresser for their Wedding Day hair or have a mobile hairdresser at the venue that specialises in hair.
If you have more than one or two people in your bridal party requiring both hair and make up it’s advisable to have one person specialising in make up and one person specialising in hair, otherwise there may not be enough time to for one person to do both.
Having a trial in the
weeks running up to your wedding is just
as important as the day itself. It allows
us to meet in person and ensure I have
all the information I need, for you to
look nothing less than stunning on your
special day.
You should allow at
least 2 hours for
your make-up trial so that we have time
to discuss the following:
- What you are wearing
- What
your bridesmaids are wearing
- Colour schemes
(including flowers)
- Your hair colour,
eye colour and skin tone
- Venue and timings
(i.e. photographers arrival, hair
appointment, departure time for ceremony)
- Your normal
skin care/beauty regime
- Make-Up for other
members of the wedding party (they
can have their own trial if required,
which can take place at the same time
or separately)
Once I have a complete understanding of
your individual requirements, your make-up
will be applied, ensuring as we go along
that you are completely satisfied with
the results.
I will record which products have been
used and also take a digital image of your
make-up, to ensure the look you have chosen
is achieved perfectly on the day itself.
When should I have a trial?
I recommend that you have a trial 4-6 weeks before your wedding day. I offer additional trials at reduced rates if you wish to have more than one trial.
The main products I use are MAC, as well as other high quality cosmetics such
as Laura
Mercier and Smashbox.
With this information in mind, you can be confident that you will be wearing
a superior quality of make-up that is designed to last throughout the day.
I also use MAC brushes and tools, including
disposable applicators/wands, which are
a must have for health and safety reasons.
I fully support MAC's policy on animal
testing "We do not test ingredients
or products on animals, nor do we ask others
to test on our behalf".
I will arrive promptly at the time we
have agreed.
The agreed time of arrival depends on
how many people in your wedding party are
having their make up professionally applied, what your hair arrangements are
and the time your ceremony starts. The
photographer will usually want to spend
some time with you before you leave for
the ceremony too, so that is all taken
into account. Timings will be discussed
on your trial and we will be in contact
in the weeks running up to your wedding
day, to ensure everything is in order.
I will be there to make the finishing
touches to ensuring you are looking your
very best before you leave for your ceremony.
The Brides Make Up will take approximately 1 hour. Bridesmaids, Mother of Bride, Mother of Groom and other guests will take up to 45 minutes each.
Trials are paid for on the day of the trial, either by cash or cheque. You will have paid a 50% deposit for your Wedding Day, so the remaining 50% can either be posted to me up to two weeks prior to the Wedding (a cheque) or you can pay by cash or cheque on the day.
